Created by the Asante people who resided in the West African regions, what is now Ghana and Côte d’lvoire, the adinkra symbols were to express the virtues of the Ghanaian culture through figurative language. This throw pillow features the “dono ntoaso” signifying unity and harmony. Reminiscent of the talking drums played in ceremonies to gather the community in song and dance, this symbol encourages collaboration and cooperation in achieving a common goal.
