Created by the Asante people who resided in the West African regions, what is now Ghana and Côte d’lvoire, the adinkra symbols were to express the virtues of the Ghanaian culture through figurative language. This floor cushion features the “duafe” (du·afe) a wooden comb that signifies femininity, beauty, prudence, patience, love and care.
The wool used is up-cycled from textile waste and/or plastic waste diverted from landfills.
Our floor cushions are all tufted and sewn by hand, in-house and filled with hypoallergenic synthetic down and poly blend inserts. The cover is not removable. Please see the care instructions below.
